KUNG FU GENIUS * Eng dub * DVD NEW $8.99 |
Every time i come on here there are these Bruce lee questions of could he beat this guy or that guy….?
Why is there all this hype on bruce lee?? I understand his rep as traininer and all, and he was great for martial arts, but he weighed around 150, never did any ground training, and never competed in a fight against any real competition. He won some kung fu matches and some AMATUER boxing matches… I just hate seeing this day after day…Jeet kun Do is a great art and all but all it really is is striking first, no real genius there.
IAfter several replies i just want to say i fully respect what Bruce did and his accomplishments…But to ask questions as to if he could beat fighters that are the best at what they do now a days and outweigh him by 70 to 100+ pounds is a stupid question. I stated the ground game part because of how important it is in fighting….and if you have no ground game there is a high chance youll get taken down and speed of hands from the bottom means next to nothing.
First I must say that I remember when Bruce Lee Died. I had been involved with training in the martial arts for some years then. I too am getting a little tired of who can beat who. Many of the people who keep bringing up Bruce Lee were not even born when he was alive. There are to many rumors and assumptions about him. Yes he was a great martial artist, but to say that he was the most powerful, the fastest, …etc. can’t be backed up with facts. I trained for a short time with one of his original students during 1975 (Larry Hartsell). We had several talks about Bruce Lee. what I was told was much different from what many people are saying.
And does anyone have any facts to back up the claim that Lee had no ground training? That is a new one for me. As far as I know he did have ground training. Perhaps people have gotten that idea that he did not from his movies. In real life his fighting techniques were much different from what he did in the movies.
